Love Data Month: Data Tools for Humanities Scholars In-Person
Join River Campus Libraries staff for an overview of some simple data tools that can help support and expand your humanities-focused research. Open to all, this workshop will be of particular interest to students in fields such as art history, classics, history, languages, literature, philosophy, religion, and visual and performing arts.
In this session, you’ll be introduced to a selection of free tools to help you understand and make connections in your research using examples from humanities disciplines. Participants will have an opportunity for hands-on exploration at the end of the session to consider how these tools can be applied to their own projects.
Featured tools will include:
- Gale’s Term Frequency tool
- Knight Lab’s StoryMap JS
- Object:Photo (MoMA)
- ProQuest’s Bulk Export tool
- Voyant Tools
- Zotero
No prior experience required.
Light refreshments will be provided. Bring a friend!
