Think globally, act locally: Using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as inspiration for cross-disciplinary assignment design Online

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define the life-altering challenges of our time like aiming for zero world hunger, developing quality education for all, and securing the right to clean water and sanitation. With a goal of fully implementing actions toward these goals by 2030, the US has rich opportunities to make significant progress, and our current generation of students can contribute a positive impact.

This workshop will engage instructors/teaching faculty in cross-disciplinary understanding, conversations, and connections surrounding the UN SDGs. During the hands-on portion of the workshop, participants will collaborate to build creative and impactful assignments that stimulate the internal motivations of today’s learner to both problem solve and address social inequities in our world, and more specifically, in our local region.

Please join us for conversation, information sharing, relationship building, and creative cross-disciplinary assignment design.
