Introduction to Zotero Online

If you have struggled with organizing research articles and books, taking notes on pdfs, or citing your research when you're writing a paper, Zotero is a reference management system that helps you organize, take notes, and create accurate citations while you write in Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

This online workshop will introduce participants to Zotero, a free, powerful reference manager tool. By the end of the session, participants will:

  • understand what reference management systems do
  • how to install and create an account
  • how to add and edit references in Zotero in multiple ways
  • how to create citations in MS word and Google docs using the Zotero plugin
  • how to annotate pdfs within Zotero
