Make Your Dream Campus with Unity! Online
Ever imagined a flock of flamingos in the Eastman quad? What about a “Floor-is-Lava” obstacle course from Rush Rhees Library to the Interfaith Chapel? Or perhaps a new statue or monument for a new era? Join Studio X, UR’s hub for immersive technologies, and learn more about the digital world of extended reality (XR). In this 1.5 hour-long hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of Unity, a real-time creation platform used to build virtual worlds, games, animations, and much more. You will learn about its user interface, how to manipulate objects in 3D space, and other fundamental concepts. This is a beginner-focused workshop, but all levels are welcome.
Having access to a mouse will make this workshop 100% more enjoyable.
Note: In order to participate, you will need to complete the following pre-workshop instructions. Depending on your computer and internet connection, this might take some time and cannot be completed during the workshop. If you'd like some help with this process, join for our Unity Open Hour.
