TinkerSpace - Introduction to R

TinkerSpace - Introduction to R In-Person

R is a freely available, open source programming language used for a variety of projects.  Text mining, data visualization, and statistical analysis are just the start, and with the growing demand for data science skills, R programming is becoming more prominent.

This workshop will introduce the very basics of R.  Participants will start by setting up RStudio (also a free, open source tool: https://rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/), learning R coding basics, objects in R, and how to start exploring R for themselves. Participants will enjoy a mix of introduction lessons and hands-on practice. Please note, this workshop is structured for beginners without coding experience, but all are welcome and questions are encouraged.
