GIS Day Kick-off and Census Data Workshop Online

In this workshop you will learn what census data is and how and why the U.S. Census Bureau collects data. If you are interested in finding data about Income and Poverty, Business and Economy, Education, Employment, and Population, this workshop will show where you can find and download the data. You will be learning tips about creating customized tables with the census data.

This event is a part of workshops organized by the River Campus Libraries leading up to a competition on GIS Day - November 18, 2020!

“GIS Day” is an annual international event with the goal of spreading awareness about Geographic Information Systems, mapping, and spatial thinking. This year, RCL’s ESRI “Story Map” competition is centered on the topic of the 2020 census. All participants that submit a Story Map to the competition will receive a GIS Day Participation Certificate and winner(s) will also get an RCL water bottle.
